Critically acclaimed novelist and songwriter Willy Vlautin of Richmond Fontaine talks about his latest novel The Free. Willy will also perform a live session on Bonanza & Son on ResonanceFM.


Expect songs from both Richmond Fontaine and his latest musical venture The Delines, a supergroup of sorts including members of The Decemberists, Minus 5 and Richmond Fontaine.




Willy's first novel ‘The Motel Life’ has been adapted into a Movie starring Stephen Dorff, Dakota Fanning, Emile Kirsch and Kris Kristofferson and set for UK release in the Spring.


Martyn Bonanza will as usual be playing the best of all the upcoming Country & Americana releases plus some vintage, vinyl nuggets from the Bonanza & Son archives.

Willy Vlautin (born 1967) is an American author and the lead singer and songwriter of Portland, Oregon Alt Country band Richmond Fontaine. Born and raised in Reno, Nevada, he has released nine studio albums since the late nineties with his band while he has written four novels: The Motel Life, Northline, Lean on Pete. and The Free. Wiily has recently formed the Americana 'super group' The Delines taking tio the road with a new album and European tour.
